Our Story

My name's Terrence and I am the creator of Hex & Boon! It all started in June 2024 when I was feeling like I lacked purpose and direction in life (thanks to approaching 30 and being in my Saturn return). I needed an outlet where I could focus all my energy and be creative. That's when I found candle making and the idea for Hex & Boon began! After launching on Etsy in October 2024, I launched the website in January 2025.

About Us

A hex is a curse and a boon is a blessing. It's the light and the dark. Good vs. evil.

With my products I want to bring some light and joy to people from the way that they look and smell and hopefully they can make your day a little bit brighter. We previously donated 5% of our sales to CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) as this is a charity close to my heart, and we aim to do this again in the near future.

Whilst candles are a symbol of light and hope, we want them to be more than just a symbol. This is why our slogan is 'Casting Light & Conjuring Magic'.

Not only are my products designed and handmade by me, but the materials and ingredients used are all ethically sourced from British businesses. I only use high quality, vegan and cruelty free soy wax and fragrance / essential oils which have all been tried and tested before being released.

All of my packaging can be reused or recycled, and whilst candle jars aren't recyclable, they can be resused and I will also be introducing a loyalty scheme where you will be rewarded with a discount for returning your jars.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long until I receive my parcel?

Orders are dispatched within 1 working day. We use Royal Mail Tracked 48, so if you live within the UK you can expect to receive your parcel within 3-4 working days. During busy periods we might take slightly longer to dispatch, however this will be communicated on the website and our social media channels.

International parcels can take between 7-14 working days, and these parcels will be delivered by your local courier. Please note that international orders may incur custom fees & taxes which we are not liable for.

My order hasn't arrived, what should I do?

If your order hasn't arrived within the timeframe please contact us using the contact form or email us directly to candles@hexandboon.com and we'll look into it for you.

There's an issue with my order

If you've received the wrong item, missing items or damaged items we're really sorry this has happened.

Please email us at candles@hexandboon.com and we'll rectify this right away.

My wax melt broke in transit, can I get a replacement?

Whilst we always make sure that wax melts are up to our high standards before sending them out, due to the nature of the product, these bars are designed to be broken into smaller pieces for use. As such, we do not offer replacements if a bar arrives broken, as this does not affect its quality or usability.

Do you take custom candle requests?

I'm always happy to hear new ideas for candles! If you have a custom request for a specific scent or colour, please email me at candles@hexandboon.com and we can discuss it.

Do you offer wholesale products?

Yes! We currently have a selection of products on Faire that are available for wholesale.

Please know that there is a minimum spend of £99 per order.

Currently our whipped candles are not available for wholesale.
